Marcos Silva Group plays Brazilian Jazz every Friday at Rattos

Join us every Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30pm for the beautiful sounds of Brazilian jazz with Marcos Silva on keyboards, Phil Thompson on drums, and Scott Thompson on bass. Marcos is a renown international performing and recording artist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator. He has performed with Leny Andrade, Emilio Santiago, Marcio Montarroyos, Jon Lucien, and Claudio Roditi, and has served as Music Director, arranger, and keyboardist for Flora Purim, Airto, Toninho Horta, Paquito D’Rivera, Bud Shank, Ricardo Silveira, Dori Caymmi, Nana Caymmi, Danilo Caymmi, Edu Lobo, and Joyce. Marcos serves as Adviser and Instructor in the Brazilian Program at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, California.
The group will be performing Marcos’ original compositions along with favorites from Tom Jobim, Toninho Horta, Dory Caymmi, Chico Pinheiro, and other Brazilian masters.
