We’ve also stocked our shelves with the award-winning walnut & hazelnut oils from J. Le Blanc. This small, family operation based in Burgundy, France has gained an international following for their handcrafted nut oils. Each batch is roasted, cold-pressed, unrefined & made-to-order for unparalleled freshness. Add their lovely, toasty flavor to veggies, salad dressings and cheese! Perfect for Fall & Winter holiday cuisine. Here’s a recipe for a classic French vinaigrette:
- 1 part Banyuls vinegar
- 3 parts of one of the following: J. Leblanc walnut or hazelnut oil, or a good olive oil
- about 1/2 tsp finely chopped shallots
- 1/2 to 1 tsp Dijon mustard (unflavored)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Toss with your preferred salad greens.
